Forgiving What Seems Unforgiveable

Question:
I wasn't raped, but how do you forgive rapists and sexual molesters? My friend is always ask me whether or not she should let the legal system or God deal with him?

In the past, I've suffered physical and sexual abuse. How do you lay your hurt (at the cross) and forgive this person? How do you give it to Jesus?
